In addition to the Induction Courses and the In-Service Courses the Directorate also conducted some special training courses as detailed below.

Master Trainer Development Program

One Master Trainer Development Programme (MTDP) was conducted at CASFOS, Dehradun from 9-02-2015 to 20-02-2015 with 9 participants from Himachal Pradesh (03), Nagaland (02), Maharashtra (01), Orissa (01), Jharkhand (01) and Sikkim (01).

Foreign Training of Forestry Personnel

Two 21 day courses under the scheme “Foreign training of Forestry Personnel” in collaboration with Training and Technology Transfer, Wellington, New Zealand, and International Center for Development Communication, Kasetsart University, Bangkok, Thailand, were conducted at CASFOS Dehradun. FTFP-I with the theme, “Innovative ideas in Landscape Management” was conducted from the 16th of March to 5th of April 2015 with 12 participants from all over India. FTFP-II with the theme “Wildlife Management and Ecotourism” was conducted from 22nd March to 11th April 2015 in which 24 participants from all India attended the course.
